Republicans are also moments away from terminating automatic voter registration, which is used by nearly TWO-THIRDS of Georgia voters.

We can’t overstate how overtly racist and destructive these GOP bills are:
- GA HB 531 restricts weekend voting in an attempt to target working class voters as well as Black Christians and Jewish Georgians after the success of groups like “Souls to the Polls”
- GA HB 366 ends automatic voter registration and gives Republicans the ability to purge hundreds of thousands of Democratic voters from the rolls as a result (a strategy that resulted in Stacey Abrams’ defeat in 2018)
- GA SB 241 terminates no-excuse absentee voting and instead preserves vote by mail for “much whiter and more Republican” voters
These are just three of the TWENTY-TWO vote restricting bills Republicans introduced in the past weeks. And this is only the beginning.
