John! It's Ben, and I wanted to get in touch about what our campaign has been up to this month.
We are hard at work registering voters and getting the word out about the progress Democrats are making in Washington and around the country, including right here in Pennsylvania. And with the American Rescue Plan freshly signed on the Resolute Desk, we are doing our best to make sure everyone knows about the new sources of assistance from the federal government and how it applies to them.
At the same time, though, we are keeping our eye on March 31 -- the end of the first quarter of the year. That's when everyone, including our campaign, will file their numbers for the last three months -- and that's an extremely important sign as we begin thinking about the midterms, redistricting and keeping control of the House in swing states like ours. If we don't come out strong, the GOP will take over our district and work to undo all the progress we've made.
I need to get back to a team meeting in just a few
-- and I would love to let them know that our staffing budget will remain strong so we can keep up the momentum we've worked so hard to get. Right now, we're $600 behind where we need to be
-- but that should be incredibly easy to make up if even a quarter of the people who read this contribute.
