In Yemen, 8-month-old Suha* is just one of millions of children struggling to survive the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. The country is ravaged by war and more than 2 million children under 5 do not have enough to eat, while at least 2,200 are on the brink of starvation.

Suha’s mother Mariam* arrived at a Save the Children health center in Yemen’s highlands unsure if her baby would survive. Suha was suffering from acute malnutrition and would likely not survive without immediate care.

Health workers quickly diagnosed the severity of Suha’s condition and began treatment. She received nutritional supplements and a supply of PlumpyNut® — a nutritious protein-dense ready-to-eat peanut paste.
