I am excited to announce that I will nominate Rachel Wainer Apter to the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Rachel is an exceptional legal mind and highly accomplished attorney. She began her legal career clerking for three federal judges, including Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, before serving as an attorney for a global law firm and the ACLU.

Now, Rachel leads the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, where she enforces our state’s Law Against Discrimination, the nation’s oldest anti-discrimination law.

I know she will make an excellent member of the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Despite the bipartisan praise of Rachel’s nomination, some Republicans are already mobilizing against her with baseless and offensive attacks on her experience and qualifications.
