John,

Last week, Democrats in Congress voted to pass the PRO Act -- protecting the right to organize on the job. It strengthens protections for workers negotiating for higher wages, benefits, and safer working conditions.

I’m proud to say I cosponsored the bill. If the COVID-19 pandemic underscored anything about the economy, it’s that working people deserve more respect for the jobs they do -- from health care workers and first responders, to the service industry and everything in-between.

This is a major step forward in the fight to protect workers, raise wages, and stand up for the middle class and low-wage workers broadly.

I'm doing everything I can to get this bill on the President’s desk quickly, but I need your support. Would you chip in $3 to help me continue to be a champion for working people in Congress?

The measures in the bill are overwhelmingly supported by the American people -- 64% support unions and the right to organize. But if we make this about the right to organize exclusively, we risk overshadowing the major benefits for working families at large.

Far too many people in this country continue to work too hard with too little to show for it. Our economy should reward hard work -- but we must make sure there is the opportunity for everyone in America to succeed.

Now that the Senate is taking up this bill, we need to keep applying pressure to get the job done. Chip in $3 to help support my work on this pro-worker legislation today >>

Thank you,

Mike
