Our razor-thin Democratic control of the Senate is the sole reason the American people are now getting comprehensive pandemic relief through the American Rescue Plan. It's the reason we have real opportunities to pass lifesaving gun safety reforms like universal background checks, and to expand voting rights through the For the People Act. Democrats are the ones uniting to introduce, craft, and shepherd these landmark pieces of legislation through Congress – not a single GOP senator has done a thing but try to block them from becoming law.

Here's the problem: If we lose even one seat, we lose the Senate. And Mitch McConnell knows this. So he and the National Republican Senatorial Committee have made the Senate seat Richard Blumenthal is honored to hold one of their top targets. The GOP's megadonor network is ready to spend however many millions of dollars it takes to flip it red and deliver the Senate majority back to Mitch McConnell.

To make matters worse, Richard's opponent sole claim is his pledge to push Trump's most harmful policies if elected. The stakes are simply too high to miss this goal and risk being outpaced by the GOP's megadonors.
