Great news! Tomorrow I will be presenting my first bill, HB 1097, "Health Care Licensure Requirements," to the Professions and Public Health Subcommittee.

I believe the men and women who've served our country deserve the best healthcare available; however, many VA hospitals are experiencing a severe shortage of practicing physicians.

This legislation empowers VA hospitals in Florida to recruit doctors by removing unnecessary bureaucratic barriers. Meaning, physicians licensed in another state, the District of Columbia, or a United States territory will be eligible for employment in the Florida VA system.

But I need your help.

Join me in emailing the Professions and Public Health Subcommittee members, urging them to support this outstanding bill in the upcoming subcommittee meeting. [[email protected], ]

You can also call members of the subcommittee!

Thank you for your help!
