Despite a new administration, U.S. sanctions continue to hurt ordinary Iranians facing a battered economy and an ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, as many of us understand, this is not the first time American policies have caused suffering in the region.

That’s why, on Tuesday, March 16th from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM ET, I’ll be joining a panel entitled Deadly Iran Sanctions: Lessons Learned from Iraq and Palestine, to discuss how we can learn from the experience of sanctions and embargoes in the region to help understand Iran’s possible trajectories.
