Did you see this, John?
Last week, GOP Sen. Johnson said that he did not feel threatened by the pro-Trump insurrectionists who stormed the U.S. Capitol, but would have been concerned if they were Black Lives Matter protesters.
Cori was quick to call out Johnson’s racist comments:
Now, Johnson’s continuing to defend his comments, saying that race had nothing to do with the comments he made. It’s clear that there’s a lot of work to do to dismantle the forces of white supremacy in our country and especially in our government. Will you chip in to support Cori as she leads this fight for racial justice in Congress?

Since the House introduced resolutions to punish those involved with the January 6th attack on the Capitol, the GOP has made every attempt to excuse the actions of white supremacists and fight back against the idea of accountability.
They made this clear when Cori spoke on the House Floor to share why it’s so critical we remove the white supremacist-in-chief and Republicans reacted by BOOING her. They can try all they want, but they will never silence us.
Cori was the first activist from the movement fighting for Black lives to be elected to Congress. From calling out the forces of white supremacy that pervade our government, to leading the call to abolish the death penalty and grant clemency to the people who are on federal death row — Cori has been laser-focused on centering racial justice in her agenda in Congress.
Keep fighting,
Team Cori
