Thanks to the support of people like you who helped Democrats win the Senate, I have the privilege of serving as Chair of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Competition Policy, Antitrust and Consumer Rights. I'm committed to using this position to rein in anti-competitive business practices and protect the interests of consumers, which is why I introduced legislation last month to increase resources for enforcement of antitrust laws and strengthen prohibitions against anticompetitive mergers.

While the end of the pandemic is finally in sight, it's still months away. So I've been working overtime to get this COVID-19 relief package through the Senate. And we did it! Pres. Biden signed the bill last week. Help is on the way: The package includes direct stimulus payments, vaccine funding, safe schools funding, extended unemployment benefits and funding for state and local governments.

Finally, it is more important than ever to ensure our elections operate freely and fairly and that voting rights are upheld. As Chair of the Senate Rules Committee with oversight over federal elections and campaign finance law, I'm working to hold a hearing on the much-needed democracy reform bill, the For the People Act, and bring it to the Senate floor for a vote.

Together, we can secure progress on the issues that matter most like economic recovery, voting rights, immigration reform, climate change and more.
