Friend --

In a few weeks, we'll face our first FEC deadline of 2021 (and I hope I can count on you to pitch in!) -- here's why it matters at this moment:

Facebook had banned political advertising on its platform from Election Day to -- well, now. Google banned political ads almost on the same timeline, but now, the floodgates are open.

Since Facebook began tracking in May 2018, over 2 billion dollars has been spent on political ads on their platform -- much of it from dark money groups.

Since my congressional neighbor to the north, NRCC chair Tom Emmer, put me on his target list, we're about to face a flood of dark money attacks against me and my agenda. I don't take a dime from PACs, lobbyists, or even my fellow members of Congress, because when you see my name on something I want you to know it was me who said it, and nobody influenced me but my own personal ethics and experience.

With Facebook back in the advertising game, we need to be able to fight back against this dark money advertising and finish our first FEC fundraising quarter stronger than ever: We set an aggressive mid-month goal of raising $25,000 by midnight on Wednesday. Will you invest $5 or more into this campaign to fight back?

I want to thank you for being a supporter of our campaign, because every opportunity I have to fight for what's right, I remember how many of you are fighting for it right alongside me. I'm humbled by that, and I always will be.

Thank you,

Dean Phillips
