Our Children & Adult Legal team require a legal secretary who will be able to provide excellent secretarial, administrative and personnel suport to a team of Solicitors and Litigation Assistants who provide in-house legal advice to the Council's Children and Adults department.

You will be required to produce legal documents to a high standard with exceptional attention to detail working to strict deadlines and carry out document assimilation, collation and preparation largely unsupervised.

Other duties will include telephone attendance, arranging appointments and meetings, client contact, and dealing with finance matters relating to invoices.? You will need to be extremely organised and efficient.? You will also be required to use our in house case management system Evolution and should be fully conversant with the latest Microsoft Office applications.? A polite, conscientious and professional manner is essential in dealing with all customers from social workers to senior Council officers and politicians.

Previous experience of working in a legal environment (preferably with a children and adults legal background) is highly desirable but not essential, as full traiing will be given.? There is the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship if you are looking to develop your career, please just tell us on your application.
