Dulles South Food Pantry

Former Delegate David Ramadan and I are teaming up to support the Dulles South Food Pantry this month! So many in our community are struggling right now, so if you are able, please consider donating food or money to the cause. Main needs right now are fresh fruits and vegetables, such as apples, potatoes, onions, and sweet potatoes. You can drop off your donations every Monday between now and April 12th (except for March 29th) from 10am to 11:30am at the Arcola Fire Department Annex. If you’d rather give money, please visit [link removed]

Zasti Inc. Comes to Loudoun

Governor Northam announced on Friday that Zasti, Inc., an artificial intelligence (AI) technology company that develops innovative risk screening, predictive analytics, and climate change solutions for the healthcare industry, will invest $5.9 million to establish its U.S. headquarters and operations in Loudoun County. The company will utilize the facility to develop and embed ZASTI© AI platforms in diagnostic devices and enterprise IT systems to ensure product quality, supply chain security, and affordability. Virginia successfully competed with Maryland for the project, which will create 60 new jobs.

Virginia continues to lead the way in being the best state to do business by attracting new industries and by building upon a strong economy that creates new opportunities for all. I'm proud that Loudoun County will gain 60 new jobs in a growing industry through this partnership and investment. This is a monumental accomplishment for the Commonwealth of Virginia, and we proudly welcome Zasti, Inc. to Loudoun County.

Vaccine Updates

Virginia continues to lead in our vaccine response, as we climb to #4 nationwide in percentage of vaccines distributed. As of this weekend, one in five Virginians has received at least one vaccine dose. In addition, President Biden has announced that he has directed every state to open up vaccinations to all Americans by May 1st. Even as we start to get our vaccines, it's imperative that we still continue to wear masks and social distance in public. If we keep making safe choices even after we get our shots, there's a good chance we'll be able to safely have small gatherings and cookouts with vaccinated friends and family for July 4th.

If you have registered with the statewide vaccine registration system, please make sure to verify and update your information in the system. Questions have been added to the pre-registration form, so please double check that the VDH has all the information they need from you.

Both Loudoun and Prince William counties have launched vaccine update dashboards to show vaccination progress and waitlist information. You can view the dashboard for Loudoun County here, and you can view the dashboard for Prince William County here.
