Dear John,
I hope you will plan to join us this Friday, March 19th, from 12-1 PM for our Friday Lunch and Learn focused on ending the aerial spraying of herbicides in Maine’s iconic woods. The increase in aerial spraying of herbicides for forestry management runs contrary to state policy – but it’s on the rise.
Join us as Senate President Troy Jackson, MOFGA deputy director Heather Spalding, and citizens from the North Woods discuss banning the aerial spraying of glyphosate and other synthetic herbicides in paper company plantations, and how we can encourage a shift toward more ecologically friendly forestry practices.
Banning aerial spraying is a priority of Maine’s Environmental Priorities Coalition! Learn more about the EPC’s 2021 agenda here [[link removed]] , and stay tuned for upcoming Lunch & Learns on other priority bills. Register here to join us on Friday! [[link removed]]
I hope to see you this Friday,
Kathleen
