Friend, this is alarming: GOP state lawmakers in Georgia just voted to pass one of the worst voter suppression bills in the country – and I need your urgent help to fight back before it's too late.
After historic voter turnout in the 2020 election and Democratic wins that gave us back control of the White House and Senate, Republicans spent months trying – and failing – to overturn the results. Now, they're pushing a slew of new voter suppression bills – more than 250 bills across the country – in a calculated effort to make it harder for people to vote.
These dangerous bills are designed for one purpose, and one purpose only: to target and suppress the voices of Black voters, young voters and other marginalized voters who powered our victories – and to ensure Democrats can no longer win elections.
CNN reports that the new voter suppression bills in Georgia would end no-excuse mail voting, enact harsh voter ID laws and restrict early voting on the weekends – a direct attack on "Souls to the Polls" organizing events, which I've led alongside heroes like John Lewis to get Black churchgoers to the polls.
Experts are calling this latest news the most coordinated attack on our right to vote since Jim Crow. I'm doing everything in my power to stop it, but I need to know you're with me, friend. I'm calling on 20,000 concerned Democrats to speak out NOW to condemn GOP attacks on voting rights – but time is running out, and I don't see your name:
Will you add your name now to condemn GOP attacks on voting rights and stand with me in defending our democracy?

Your vote is your voice, and your voice is your human dignity. So thank you in advance for making yours heard today.
