PFAW Member,

We are in a pivotal moment for the future of our country.

Since Speaker Pelosi’s announcement of a formal impeachment inquiry last
week, in response to a whistleblower complaint detailing egregious
lawbreaking by Trump to enlist foreign help with his 2020 re-election
effort, public opinion has swung HARD in favor of impeachment with a new
poll showing that 55% of Americans now believe the impeachment probe is
necessary.

But, so far, instead of showing signs that they are finally ready to put
country before party, Trump Republicans are digging in their heels for an
epic fight. In fact, the Trump campaign and the GOP reported raising $13
MILLION in just the first 48 hours following the announcement.

We’re fighting back to protect the impeachment inquiry and make sure Trump
AND his GOP enablers are held accountable, but on the day of our first
funding deadline for this historic fight, we’re way behind our goal.

At the time I write this, we have 14 hours to raise nearly $15K! And you
know as well as anyone that at this crucial beginning phase of Trump’s
impeachment, falling short simply cannot be an option.

[ [link removed] ]Will you chip in as generously as you can today to make sure we hit the
roughly $1,000 per hour we need to raise by the end of the day to HOLD
TRUMP AND RIGHT-WING REPUBLICANS ACCOUNTABLE?>>

The American public now supports the impeachment process but that’s
boosted in large part by overwhelming support from Democrats. It’s a great
start, but we need to be able to bring effective pressure on Republican
lawmakers in both the House and the Senate and, because some districts and
states are inherently more conservative, we need to win over a substantial
number of Republican and Independent voters too.

Right now, Independents are evenly split on impeachment with 49% approving
and 51% disapproving. And 77% of Republicans currently disapprove of
impeachment -- and you know that they are being flooded with conspiracy
theories and propaganda from Fox News and right-wing groups.

Congress just began a two-week recess, giving us an amazing opportunity to
take the fight to Republican members of Congress in their states and
districts – but we need your help to make sure we don’t fall short of our
goal.

I wouldn’t make this plea if it weren’t so incredibly important: [ [link removed] ]Will
you PLEASE dig deep and give whatever you can to support the impeachment
effort and bring intense pressure on GOP lawmakers?

PFAW is playing a unique and necessary role in this impeachment fight and
our members’ support is absolutely central to that.

shaping the media narrative, dispelling the Right’s lies and diversion
tactics, and helping activists understand the process. Our experts

* Thanks to our hundreds of thousands of members like you, we will help
lead the nationwide groundswell of grassroots pressure that’s going to
be necessary for this fight – impeachment requires a movement!

* PFAW has unique reach into key constituencies via our programs like
African American Ministers In Action and Young People For Action. Our
network members are FIRED UP and need the material support to engage
their communities in this nationwide campaign.

* And PFAW's Right Wing Watch is uncovering the strategies and tactics
that right-wing activists are using to defend the president, and
exposing the fallacious conspiracy theories that Republicans are
relying on to distract the public from Trump's wrongdoing AND that are
driving this administration's agenda in the first place! PFAW's own
Jared Holt, from our RWW team, wrote an amazing guest piece for the
Washington Post, published Thursday, titled, "How far-right conspiracy
theories informed Trump's Ukraine call."
