The last month has brought a number of challenges but also good news for our fight for fair maps and voting rights. Among the challenges: Republicans are making it clear that they plan to gerrymander in 2021, and in some states they will control the redistricting process. They've also introduced a shocking number of voter suppression bills in response to the high turnout of the 2020 election.

But the good news is that one federal bill can help combat all of these challenges, and it's already passed in the House of Representatives: the For the People Act.

We're setting a goal of raising $65,000 before tomorrow's mid-month deadline to give us the resources to get the For the People Act over the finish line and win the fight for fair maps across the country. Can you pitch in to help us hit that goal?

Getting the For the People Act through the Senate won't be easy, but it's absolutely critical to repairing our democracy. This comprehensive legislation will restore voting rights, end congressional gerrymandering, and reduce the influence of money in politics -- and now that Republicans are trying to implement "the greatest roll back of voting rights in this country since the Jim Crow era," as one political scientist put it, passage couldn't be more urgent.

Democrats in Congress are making the For the People Act their top priority, but they're going to need a lot of support from the grassroots -- us. If you can, will you make a donation today to help us hit our $65,000 mid-month goal and keep working for a democracy where all voices are heard?
