Hi there,

The pressure is building on Democrats to eliminate the Senate filibuster, with progressive champions like Elizabeth Warren and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez arguing it is “too costly to America” to keep in place.

Rachel Maddow is calling on Democrats to act: “Republicans are already doing the thing they're threatening to do if Democrats get rid of the filibuster, so … Democrats, what are you afraid of?”

Maddow is right. Republicans are already doing everything they can to block progressive legislation -- they even forced the Senate to spend over 10 hours reading the 600 page stimulus bill out loud to delay a vote, and during that time, 870 Americans died of COVID-19 and hundreds of millions of Americans went without their needed financial aid.

The GOP doesn't care about everyday Americans. They care about obstructing relief to appease their billionaire backers. If Democrats don't act, the GOP will use the Senate filibuster to block everything on Biden's agenda, from raising the minimum wage to passing voting rights legislation like the For the People Act.

Listen, we worked so hard to ensure that Democrats were able to govern in the Senate. If we don't act right now to eliminate the filibuster and safeguard our democracy, Republicans will take back the Senate in 2022 and permanently block our progress.

We need your help to pressure Democrats to act before it's too late. Please, add your voice to ours NOW and demand Democrats eliminate this Jim Crow relic:

Tell us, do you want to see the filibuster in the trash heap of history?

YES   NO

Thanks for helping us end the GOP's obstruction in the Senate.
