March is in full swing, and so is our plate of legislative and community action plans. This is all thanks to supporters like you who stepped up throughout the month to help us reach our February fundraising goal.
Now, in 19 days, we'll have a new goal to reach: our first Federal Election Commission end-of-quarter fundraising goal in Congress.
These fundraising results are something that everyone — from political media to big money oppositions — will get to see once the FEC makes it public. This means it's absolutely critical that we show up strong on this first deadline if we want to make sure Jamaal can keep fighting for policies like a Green New Deal for Education, immediate Covid relief, a care work-centered economy, and more.
John, as our movement continues to grow, hitting milestones like the FEC fundraising goal is key to sustaining our growing movement and getting ready for the fights ahead. Jamaal is fighting for solutions and relief that meets the scale and scope of the crises our communities face. In just March alone, Jamaal introduced the Care For All Agenda, calling on our federal government to center care workers in our economy, secured a new vaccine site in Co-op City, and traveled to Bessemer, Alabama, to support the 5,800 Amazon workers in their fight for unionization.
But there's still so much we need to do in order to win key policies and legislation, like $2,000 recurring relief checks, Medicare for All, and reparations. If we want a fighting chance at bringing these sweeping changes to our communities, we've got to have Jamaal's back.
That's why reaching our end-of-quarter goal is so important, John. If we can post strong fundraising revenue for our first quarter in Congress, we'll show our opponents that we're focused, united, and more determined than ever to support Jamaal while he continues breaking down the systems of oppression that have plagued our communities for far too long.
