Friends,
A couple of weeks ago, we let you know that Fairfax County needs your input on its first-ever Community-wide Energy and Climate Action Plan (CECAP).
The CECAP Task Force—comprising Fairfax residents, local businesses, associations, and environmental groups—has set a goal of net zero emissions, across all sectors of the economy, by 2050. Now we need your input on the best sector-by-sector strategies for reaching that goal.
In February, Fairfax County released 3 public surveys on the CECAP process. These surveys close tomorrow, March 14. This is your last chance to take the surveys (available in English, Spanish, Korean, or Vietnamese). Find the surveys here.
These surveys cover actionable steps Fairfax County residents and business owners could take to reduce emissions in the energy, transportation, development, and waste sectors. The third survey provides an opportunity for you to give open-ended feedback on the CECAP process and the plan itself.
My ask today is simple: Make some time to complete all three surveys by tomorrow, March 14.
We need everyone to participate in this process to ensure that it is equitable. We need everyone to participate to ensure that the plan the Task Force ultimately approves reflects the diverse needs and resources of residents across Fairfax County.
You have a voice in this process, and your voice is essential. Take the surveys today.
Yours in action,
Julie Kimmel
