Friend,
It shouldn't come as a surprise that Republicans who rely on manipulating the maps to secure their power are working to pass even more anti-democratic legislation that would infringe on Americans' basic constitutional rights. We're working hard to fight back, but we're counting on your grassroots support to do it.

Here are just a few of the appalling examples of bills that Republicans have introduced at the state level this year:
-- Republicans are trying to pass a bill that would criminalize protesting in North Carolina.
-- Across 32 states, Republicans have introduced 175 bills explicitly aimed at rolling back LGBTQ rights.
-- And you've seen the headlines: From Georgia to Arizona, some of the worst voter suppression laws since the Jim Crow era are coming back -- all because Republicans value power over our democracy.
As long as Republicans continue to win unearned majorities on gerrymandered maps, we can expect them to continue promoting extreme, unpopular ideas like these. After all, why would a party that doesn't need to rely on winning a majority of votes concern itself with promoting a popular agenda?
Here at the NDRC, we're working every single day to end map manipulation and force Republicans to compete on an even playing field. If they had to win elections based on the strength of their ideas rather than the strength of their maps, it wouldn't be long before they started reconsidering some of their unpopular, anti-democratic positions.
But we rely on help from supporters like you to keep up our work. If you're able, will you make a donation today to help us bring an end to the gerrymandered maps that give rise to extreme Republican ideas in the first place?
