In the strong recurring Muslim character of Zahra, Muslim audiences can finally see themselves reflected in the animated series. With so many young children at home during the pandemic, Glitch Techs, available on Netflix, is a fun, action-packed, inclusive show for the entire family.

“When you see Zahra, you don’t think of her as “the Muslim one,” you think of her as the sarcastic one, the cool one - who happens to be Muslim. And that is the goal.”
— Actor Zehra Fazal

When developing Glitch Techs, co-creators Dan Milano and Eric Robles wanted to develop characters that represented the audiences it was meant for, so anyone watching could see themselves reflected on screen. As a result, they moved the needle of inclusion forward exponentially. Dan, Eric, and Zehra will be joining us to accept the award.

We hope you can join us on March 20th to celebrate Glitch Techs! RSVP at mpac.org/ma.
