Each week I spend approximately 20 hours commuting back and forth to DC for Congressional work.

Some members choose to live there, but Laredo is my home and on the weekends I travel throughout the district so that I can visit with people one on one to hear their concerns and provide legislative updates. 

As we approach the end of the quarter my opponent and her special interest friends out of New York City are making a hard push to raise money to defeat me and stop our progress.

Their goal of raising $10,000 per day just shows you the influence that special interest groups and dark money has in politics.

The strength of our campaign has always been people power, not special interest influence.
