[ [link removed] ]Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress

Yesterday, Democrats finally passed the $1.9 trillion COVID relief
package.

Here’s what the package includes:

* $1,400 relief checks for people making up to $75,000
* Relief checks for adult dependents
* $3,000-3,600 additional funds per child this year
* $300 weekly unemployment insurance
* Cheaper ACA healthcare exchange premiums
* Free COBRA premiums through September
* Housing assistance for both renters and homeowners
* A tax exemption for the first $10,200 in unemployment benefits
* Expansion of funeral assistance into 2021
* Assistance for independent restaurants and bars
* State and local funding for services like public transportation

Alexandria fought for these provisions and more, because it’s what working
families need and deserve.

This was not an easy victory. Republicans, and even some Democrats,
fought for fewer and smaller relief checks and against some of these
desperately needed provisions.

But Alexandria worked with her colleagues to keep Congress accountable to
the working people who elected them. Alexandria won’t stop fighting for
us, so we can’t stop fighting either.

When conservatives fought to steepen the relief checks phase out,
Alexandria fought back and made sure eligible adult dependents would
receive relief checks, and helped win recurring relief checks for each
child throughout the year up to $3,600 for children under 6 and $3,000 for
children 17 and under. She also helped win federal tax exemptions for the
first $10,200 in unemployment income.

Last year, Alexandria fought for and won up to $7,000 for families to
cover the cost of laying a loved one to rest. Now that coverage has been
expanded to cover funeral costs for families into 2021.

[ [link removed] ]If you can, your first
$3 contribution today will go a long way in
making sure we have the resources required to keep AOC’s seat and keep her
fighting for us.

Anything you can give right now will help ensure Alexandria has the
resources to keep her focus on passing legislation — not fundraising.

Thank you for everything you do,

Team AOC
