Yesterday, the House passed universal background checks – again.

I am so thankful for your support and I’m proud of my Brady team for putting in countless hours for this landmark victory. It’s the same pride I felt two years ago when the House first passed H.R. 8, except now we find ourselves closer than ever to finally making universal background checks into law that will save lives – but we can’t do it without your help.

The celebration looks different than it does in the picture above, on the Capitol steps in 2018, but the victory is still as thrilling. And it feels different, too, because we finally have a real chance to fight for this lifesaving legislation in the Senate. After working tirelessly to chip away at the NRA’s stronghold on Congress and oust their bought-and-paid for politicians, w e’ve never been closer to finally expanding Brady Background Checks, John, but we need your support to do it.

John, can you donate $13 or more right now and directly fund our fight to pass expanded Brady Background Checks in the Senate? [[link removed]?]

We worked tirelessly to elect gun violence prevention champions to the House, Senate, and White House, and now Mitch McConnell doesn’t have the power to kill this legislation before we can even fight for it. But, John, we can’t afford to lose any momentum from this victory: Brady is already hard at work, mobilizing activists and meeting with elected officials, and I am counting on your support to keep funding this fight:

Please, John, we can’t afford to lose any momentum after this landmark victory in the House: Can you donate $13 or more now and fund our fight to pass expanded Brady Background Checks in the Senate? [[link removed]?]

Thank you for helping us get here. Together, we can keep the pressure on the Senate and finally save lives.
