NDRC is fighting back to defend democracy across the country
Chip in now >>> [link removed]
Friend,
For weeks, the NDRC has been sounding the alarm about a coordinated assault on voting rights across the country. More than half of the states we've targeted as priorities for fighting gerrymandering have introduced anti-democratic legislation. That's not a coincidence.
Gerrymandering gives one party confidence that they'll win a majority of elections, even if they only earn a minority of votes. Because of this, state legislators in gerrymandered states know that even if they pass extreme, harmful legislation, they are unlikely to face electoral consequences.
Republicans have used manipulated maps to secure permanent majorities in state legislatures. Now, they're trying to use their power to make it even harder for voters to replace them. We can't let them get away with this, team -- will you chip in now to support the NDRC's work to protect free and fair elections?

If the GOP's scheme to restrict voting prevails, it could take decades to undo the damage. Luckily, the NDRC was founded for this exact moment.
We've secured victories across the country to help flip governor's mansions, break up legislative supermajorities, and pass nonpartisan redistricting reform. Now, we must build on this proven record of success to fight for fair districts, stop new voter suppression legislation from passing, and compel the Senate to pass the For the People Act.
We can get this done, but we need the resources. Please, chip in whatever you can to help us defend democracy.
