I don't have to tell you how important St. Patrick's Day is to Gerry, but it's taken on a greater importance to all Virginia Democrats over the years. When there is a major contested Democratic nomination, we have a straw poll. Virginia candidates have taken to calling it Virginia's version of the Iowa Straw Poll. With a crowd of over 1,000 committed Democrats from around the state, it has some predictive power.

This year's straw polls are for the Democratic nomination for President and Fairfax County Board Chairman. Don't miss the chance to come out to support your favorite candidate!
