*Governor Parson Makes Six Appointments to Various Boards and Commissions, Fills Two County Office Vacancies*
*(JEFFERSON CITY, MO) *? Today, Governor Mike Parson announced six appointments to various boards and commissions and filled two county office vacancies.?
*Anna Burk*, of Galena, was appointed as the *Stone County Collector of Revenue*.
Ms. Burk previously served as the Chief Deputy Collector of the Stone County Collector?s Office. In addition to her duties as Chief Deputy Clerk, she also served on the Stone County Safety Committee. Ms. Burk attended Ozark Technical Community College.
*Stephen Coppinger*, of Kansas City, was appointed to the* Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents*.
Mr. Coppinger is the President and Founder of Impact Interiors, a full service contract furniture dealer based in?Kansas City?with additional locations in St. Louis, Des Moines, and Chicago. Mr. Coppinger serves as a member of the Don Bosco Centers Board, Journey House Development Committee, and?Advancement Committee for Rockhurst High School. He attended Northwest Missouri State University where he was captain of the 1998 National Championship Football team and met his wife Erica of 20 years. He later was inducted into the Northwest Missouri State Athletic Hall of Fame. Mr. Coppinger?holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a minor in marketing from Northwest Missouri State University and?a Master of Business Administration from Rockhurst University.
*Paul Cordia*, of Jefferson City, was appointed to the *Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board*.
Mr. Cordia is a retired Court Security Officer with Walden Security. Before joining Walden Security, he was a Supervising Sergeant for the Computer Forensics Unit with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Mr. Cordia also served on the Board of Directors for the Midwest Region with the National White Collar Crime Center. He is certified as a Court Appointed Special Advocate and holds numerous computer forensic certificates. Mr. Cordia holds a Bachelor of Science in both psychology and sociology from Missouri State University.?
*Shanda Durbin*, of Saint Joseph, was appointed to the *Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents*.
Ms. Durbin has served as the Director of Human Resources for the Herzog Contracting Corporation in Saint Joseph since 2010. She is also a member of the Society of Human Resource Professionals, NWMSU Alumni Association, and Human Resources of Northwest Missouri. Ms. Durbin holds a Bachelor of Science in corporate recreation and wellness from Northwest Missouri State University.
*Allen Icet*, of Springfield, was appointed as the *Greene County Collector of Revenue*.
Mr. Icet has held engineering positions in the petro-chemical industry with several companies such as BP and Conoco-Phillips, among others. Mr. Icet also served eight years as a member of the Missouri House of Representatives ? five of which as Chairman of the House Budget Committee. Prior to his election to the General Assembly, he served as president of the Rockwood Board of Education and an adjunct faculty member for Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Mr. Icet holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master of Science in Business Administration from the Washington University Graduate School of Business.?
*Jill Irvin*, of Jackson, was appointed to the *Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board*.
Ms. Irvin serves as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney?s Office. Prior to joining the Prosecuting Attorney?s office, she served as Special Counsel for the Office of the Governor of the State of Missouri. She is a member of the Young Lawyers? Section of the Missouri Bar Association, Leopold R-III School District Foundation Board, University of Tennessee Young Alumni Council, and Cape West Rotary. Ms. Irvin holds a Bachelor of Science in mass communication from Southeast Missouri State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law.?
*Alex LeCure*, of Jefferson City, was appointed to the *Child Abuse and **Neglect**?Review Board*.
Mr. LeCure is the Advocate Coordinator for Capital City CASA, a child advocacy organization. Prior to joining Capital City CASA, he worked as an accountant with Schwartz & LeCure, an accounting firm in Jefferson City. Mr. LeCure volunteers with the Special Learning Center, Special Olympics, Capital City USA, and Jabberwocky Studios, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Science in general studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia.?
*Michelle Miller*, of West Plains, was reappointed to the* Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board*.
Ms. Miller is an elementary school counselor at West Plains Elementary and a licensed clinical social worker. She was previously an adjunct instructor for Drury University and a case manager for the AIDS Project of the Ozarks. Ms. Miller serves as a member of the West Plains Park Board and the South Central Region Citizens Advisory Board ? Probation and Parole. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Missouri State University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Missouri-Columbia.?
