Yesterday, we marched on Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie’s office to demand he cancel rent and impeach Governor Cuomo. Since then, the State Assembly authorized the Judicial Committee to begin an “impeachment investigation.” We need the Assembly to begin an actual impeachment. Click here to sign our petition.

Governor Cuomo’s staff purposely changed reports to obscure the impact his policies had on the health of people living in nursing homes during the pandemic. People died.

6 women have come forward with allegations of sexual harassment and assault. The most recent accusation was so severe it was referred to the Albany Police.

Today, Cuomo again refused to resign.

Any of one of these infractions is enough to raise questions about the conduct of the Cuomo administration. Together they show a culture of bullying, harassment, and abuse that can not be tolerated.

In a New York Magazine cover story published today, Rebbeca Traister writes, "what is emerging is in fact a single story: That through years of ruthless tactics, deployed both within his office and against anyone he perceived as an adversary, critic, or competitor for authority, Cuomo has fostered a culture that supported harassment, cruelty, and deception." COVID-19 has left millions of New Yorkers unemployed, on the verge of eviction, and surviving on food pantries. Stop-gap evictions protections are set to expire in a few weeks. The state budget, which is currently being negotiated, will deeply impact the ability of New York's most vulnerable to survive.

New Yorkers deserve a government that’s focused on preventing an eviction crisis and investing in a just and equitable recovery for ALL -- not the alleged harassment, cover-ups, and toxic work environment created by the current administration.

That can’t happen until Governor Cuomo is held accountable for his behavior. Sign our petition in support of impeachment.
