Tucker Carlson made headlines this week for ridiculing pregnant service members and claiming our military is becoming too “feminine.”
This isn’t the first time he’s gone after women who are willing to sacrifice in uniform so he doesn’t have to. Last summer, he attacked me on Fox News calling me a “coward” and a “deeply silly person” — even going so far as to say people like me “actually hate America.”
I couldn't care less what Tucker Carlson thinks of me personally, but I’m not going to sit quietly while he insults the tens of thousands of women currently serving bravely in our Armed Forces. I will continue to speak out on their behalf in Washington, D.C., to make sure our women troops and Veterans get the support they deserve from our government.
But in order for me to stay in the Senate where I can continue to have those important fights, I need to win reelection. So please:
I am proud to represent the voices of women troops and Veterans in Washington. Far too often their stories go untold and our issues are not heard. I take my responsibility as an advocate for them very seriously and I hope to continue serving this community for a long time.
All my best,
Tammy
