John,
Over the course of the first few weeks of the Biden-Harris administration, we have seen a sea change in the approach toward workers. We have leadership who not only say they care about workers, but have taken swift action to raise wages, roll back assaults on our union, and to make clear that they want workers treated with dignity, fairness, and respect.
In terms of our union rights, President Biden already has rescinded the anti-worker executive orders from 2018, the abominable Schedule F executive order, as well as the delegation of presidential authority that threatened union rights at the Department of Defense.
He got rid of the union busters at the Federal Service Impasses Panel and appointed a new chair of the Federal Labor Relations Authority.
We’ve been fighting this battle a long time. Finally, momentum is on our side.
