The House of Representatives just passed the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act.

This bipartisan legislation would be one of the most significant pro-worker moves in recent history.

It would strengthen the federal law that protects workers’ right to unionize, hold employers accountable for violating workers’ rights, and ensure unions can have free, fair, and safe elections.

Unions form the very backbone of the middle class, John.

Preliminary research from the last year shows that union workers were less likely to get laid off during the COVID-19 crisis. And unions have worked for over a century to boost wages and improve working conditions.

After decades of Republicans working to weaken unions in favor of their corporate donors and their buddies on Wall Street, the PRO Act represents one of our strongest advances forward.
