Breaking News: Senate confirms Merrick Garland as Attorney General and Marcia Fudge as
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development

Chip in today to protect our Senate Democratic majority and keep it working for
the American people!

Friend --

I wanted to reach out one more time before our big mid-month deadline tonight --
because it really matters.

Before I dive into what else our Democratic majority achieved this week, I must humbly ask: Will you chip in $1 or more before our midnight deadline to fund the work ahead to expand and protect our Senate Democratic majority?

On top of passing the American Rescue Plan -- the most significant piece of
legislation to benefit working families in modern American history -- Senate
Democrats just confirmed two more of President Biden’s cabinet nominees: Marcia
Fudge as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, and Merrick Garland as
Attorney General.

There’s some sweetness there: Nearly five years ago exactly, on March 16, 2016,
Barack Obama nominated Merrick Garland to serve on the Supreme Court. He
famously never even got a hearing from former Senate Majority Leader Mitch
McConnell. This week he saw the Senate confirm him to be our next Attorney
General.

You can’t write fiction that good -- people wouldn’t believe it. The truth is always sweeter.

This is proof positive what is possible with our new Democratic majority in the
Senate. Imagine what else we can do moving forward -- but only if we protect and
expand our Senate Democratic majority.

Our midnight deadline is almost here, and we’re $5,689 short of our $30,000 goal. Will you chip in $1 or more to invest in the future of our shared progress, led by Senate Democrats? [link removed]

Sincerely,

Chuck Schumer
