Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to approve the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief plan. Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah called the bill “massively excessive” and House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy called it “the single most-expensive spending bill ever.”
“Almost every one of this bill’s 592 pages includes a liberal pipe dream that predates the pandemic,” McCarthy said. Democrats have snuck in a handful of surprise tax hikes on corporations in the coronavirus relief package that combined are worth more than $60 billion.
Thursday, Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and W4W Founder Annie Dickerson were joined by Representatives Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-02), Michelle Steel (CA-48), Young Kim (CA-39), Ashley Hinson (IA-01), and Maria Elvira Salazar (FL-27) for a wonderful discussion about finding real solutions.
Happening Today, the White House Covid-19 response team and public health officials will brief at 11:15 a.m this morning. Press secretary Jen Psaki will brief at noon allowing some insight to the new bill. In The News

The Hill: 57 Republicans take to House floor in push to reopen schools. Dozens of House Republicans lined up on the House floor Tuesday to call for a vote on GOP-backed legislation that would tie school funding to reopening plans. The effort, led by first-term lawmaker Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-Iowa).
Fox News: Prominent Democratic women avoid questions on latest Cuomo accusations. A growing number of New York lawmakers are calling for Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign in the wake of a growing list of sexual misconduct allegations, but a number of leading female Democratic voices have remained silent on the issue.
