As a nation we've witnessed endless tragedies at schools, places of worship, movie theaters, and other public spaces because of the gun violence epidemic. From Parkland and Charleston to Pulse and El Paso -- too many lives have been cut short, and too many families have been torn apart.

It's past time to take action to end the gun violence epidemic. That's why the House just had a bipartisan vote to pass H.R. 8 which closes loopholes by requiring background checks on gun sales.
