Dear John,

Like you, we are relieved we have a new President.  And, like many progressives, we are beyond disappointed—we are livid--  that Washington can’t pass a new $15 an hour minimum wage.  

Last week, 8 Senate Democrats—all millionaires—joined their GOP colleagues to block an attempt by Senator Bernie Sanders to increase the federal minimum wage to $15 per hour.

Although beyond frustrating, we can’t stop now.  We need to keep our progressive voices strong, and funded, to hold our Democrat controlled House, Senate, and yes, the President accountable.
