I have some incredible news, friend. Last night at 8:16 p.m., we reached our goal of $1.7 million -- a full day ahead of the deadline we set for ourselves.

I'm so grateful that at the most critical moment of this campaign, tens of thousands of people in all fifty states came together to give us the boost we needed. You put us back on a trajectory where we know we can be competitive. There's a viable path forward, so I'm staying in this race because I know we can win it.

We honestly could not have predicted we'd get to $1.7 million so quickly, and we've still got nearly a full day left of the fundraising quarter. After midnight tonight, our campaign will have to file a report with the FEC that shows how much we've raised over the last three months. Everyone will look to our report as a measure of our strength.

I'm blown away by the strength we've already shown by raising $1.7 million over the last nine days -- and I bet we can finish even stronger by raising $216,495, for a total of $2 million, before midnight tonight.

Raising $1.7 million was by no means an easy venture. Frankly, after we set this goal last week, I did not know what to expect. But what happened was this:

We received donations from all fifty states, plus D.C. and Puerto Rico.
We received 40,625 contributions from people who stepped up to say that they believe our campaign deserves to stay in the race.
We raised $1,783,504.44 in just nine days.
We're on track to have the best quarter of our entire campaign but the books close tonight at 11:59 p.m.

You haven't stepped up yet and now is the time to do so. Chip in whatever you can right now and make sure we have the best quarter our campaign has ever seen.

$1.7 million wasn't just a goal. It was the real number we knew was necessary for us to continue building an organization that can take us all the way to the White House. We have what we need to continue and grow. But let's not stop now. Let's keep the momentum going.
