A week that began with widespread celebrations of women on International Women's Day has taken a turn for the worst that has been difficult and confronting for all women. No woman should be unsafe walking home and our hearts are with Sarah Everard's family and friends. This week countless women have bravely shared the very real fears they face everyday. This must change.

International Women's Day

International Women's Day was a fantastic day of empowerment. The day demonstrated the solidarity and strength of women everywhere. From front pages written solely by women to messages of solidarity across organisations it was clear that women are leading the way.

Our event was a unique opportunity to hear from some of these leaders with hundreds of you tuning in to listen to discussion between Dame Heather Rabbatts, Maria Miller MP, Claire Cohen and Hannah Barham-Brown. Our tech team on working on getting the recording up on our website so you will be able to watch the whole event at your leisure. Thank you to everyone who took part, who sent in questions and who celebrated International Women's Day.

All month we're sharing videos from women in power who are telling us what their life looks like as a woman in leadership. You can check them out here. ([link removed])

Make Misogyny a Hate Crime

We've been working hard over the last few years to make misogyny a hate crime because we know sex and gender based harassment and violence is not ok. Now the House of Lords will have the opportunity to vote on amendment 87B to the domestic abuse bill and we want to make sure it passes.

We're asking you to write to your MPs asking them to give support for the bill by reaching out to Peers and asking them to support it. And we've created an easy template for you to do this. Just click the button below, enter your postcode and sign the letter - it only takes 30 seconds. Help us make misogyny a hate crime now.
