John — Last week, I voted with House Democrats to pass a sweeping anti-corruption and democracy-strengthening bill that is now headed to the Senate.

2020 showed the fragility of our democracy, and H.R. 1 — the For the People Act — will reduce the influence of dark money in politics and increase equitable access to the ballot box.

I’m proud of what we achieved, but we’re not done yet. John, we need to make sure our bill passes in the Senate!

This bill is the most comprehensive anti-corruption legislation since Watergate — and it even includes three of my own amendments to reduce election interference and make it easier for students to cast their votes.
