by Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro for a discussion with her former
boss, former U.S. Senator Chris Dodd, about her new role as House
Appropriations Chair.

We'll hear from Senator Dodd about the importance of the
Appropriations Committee, and from Rep. DeLauro about some of the
important policies that she is advancing as Chair -- from her plan
to cut child poverty nearly in half by expanding and improving
the Child Tax Credit (which is included in the American Rescue
Plan that was just signed into law by President Biden!), to her
legislation to end the gender wage gap and guarantee paid family
and medical leave for every American.
