The American People needed it, and House Democrats delivered.

This week, the House voted on the final version of the American Rescue Plan, a robust and necessary relief package to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the greatest piece of recovery legislation passed in American history. It's a bold, progressive, and revolutionary bill to fight an unprecedented pandemic, the worst we’ve seen in over a century.

Despite no Republican support, Joe Biden and Democratic majorities delivered the biggest relief package in history, which will crush the virus, return children safely to school, get vaccines in people’s arms and put money in families’ pockets. In short, it will be the boost our communities need to help them out of this pandemic and get life back on track.

Millions of Americans are eligible for relief with over 90% of Americans receiving a direct cash survival payment. This legislation also carves out the critical child tax credit that will lift half of the children currently in impoverished conditions out of poverty — especially Black and Latinx children. Democrats are committed to putting money back into the hands of everyday working families, while Republicans are more concerned about giving 1.7 trillion dollar tax cuts to their wealthy friends.

Hank is committed to working to provide relief for the everyday Americans that need it most. Far too often the right is more concerned about the wants of big business and the gun lobby and not the needs of the everyday American people that make this country the best it can be.
