Here's a snapshot of a few of the 253 voting restriction bills introduced by state legislators in 43 states -- including a majority of our target states.

In tandem with their plans to gerrymander maps this year, partisan politicians are working to make voting in the next elections as inconvenient, cumbersome, and difficult as humanly possible -- all in an effort to avoid accountability and undemocratically block the will of the people at the ballot box. We're not kidding.

As of mid February, the Brennan Center reported that state legislators are considering 253 bills to restrict access to voting in 43 states -- this includes a majority of our target states.

Last week, the U.S. House took a major step in securing our democracy by passing the For the People Act -- a bill that would make it easier to vote and achieve fair maps.

But to pass this bill into law, we'll need the Senate to be on board as well. We're launching a multi-state advocacy campaign to garner support from key senators to make it happen but need your help.

Will you make a recurring donation right now that would help support our multi-state advocacy campaign? Your monthly contribution will go a long way and help power our plans for fair maps and expand voting.

As two hundred plus voter suppression bills are being considered in state legislatures, the All On The Line team wants to shine a light on four states that would benefit from federal legislation that safeguards the right to vote.

Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire are just four of 43 states where extreme state lawmakers are working overtime to suppress the vote. Here's a snapshot of some of the bills being considered in these states.

Georgia
  • House Bill 227 would make it harder to cast a ballot by requiring voters to provide ID with their absentee ballots.

  • Arizona
  • House Bill 2369 would make absentee voting more cumbersome by requiring a notarized signature.

  • Pennsylvania
  • House Bill 143 aims to purge voter rolls by citing virtually non-existent claims of voter fraud -- all in an effort to create more barriers for folks to cast their ballots.

  • New Hampshire
  • House Bill 523 would implement additional voter restrictions by requiring some folks to have their picture taken before their registration to vote is complete.

  • In the next elections, voters should be able to elect fair minded leaders who listen to their concerns instead of legislators who leave voters doubting whether they can even access the ballot box.

Fair maps and fair elections would help make that a reality. It's part of why we're rolling out a multi-state advocacy campaign to pressure key senators to pass long overdue legislation like the For the People Act. The success of this campaign will depend on grassroots supporters like you.

Will you consider committing to a recurring donation -- of any amount -- right now? Your help will be instrumental in passing federal legislation to protect the vote.

Our team believes the For the People Act would make it easier for folks to cast their ballots as state lawmakers double-down on their efforts to suppress the vote. This important bill would also ban partisan congressional gerrymandering. It's time to level the political playing field for everyone.

    Thanks for everything,
    The AOTL Team
