There has been a lot of talk over the last few months about Facebook's decision to ban political ads and limit political content. This ban on running ads disproportionately hurts Jenn and our campaign -- not only are we in an off-year election that historically has less attention, but Jenn’s also a Black woman candidate with significantly less name recognition than our opponent.
And as our polling shows, Jenn’s name ID is the ONLY thing holding us back from winning this election.
Thankfully, last week, Facebook lifted their ban on ads and we are now able to use this critical tool to reach Virginia voters.
Now it’s extra important that we give our Digital Ad budget a boost to make up for lost time. We need to raise another $7,000 before the start of the weekend. Can I count on you?
I can’t say this enough: it is harder for women candidates, especially women candidates of color, to raise money and gain traction. We know Jenn will make an incredible governor of Virginia, but it is harder for us to compete when we don’t have the same name recognition and resources as our opponent. Facebook ads are a low-cost, effective way to get candidates like Jenn in front of voters before voting starts.
That’s why I’m urgently asking you to help us right now. The money we have in the door before the weekend will have a direct impact on Jenn’s reach online. Donate now.
Thank you, thank you --

Jennifer Carroll Foy was born and raised in Petersburg. In 2017, she flipped a Republican district as a first-time candidate pregnant with twins. During her time as Delegate, Jennifer championed the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment, helped expand Medicaid to 400,000 Virginians, and advocated for the Commonwealth’s most vulnerable communities.
She has a career of public service and it started long before 2017. As a public defender, Jennifer helped give a voice to the often voiceless — children, people suffering from addiction, those experiencing homelessness, those with mental illness, and the poor.
Now she’s running to be the first woman elected Governor of Virginia and serve as the first Black woman to be governor nationwide.
Help her make history. Donate now.
