Dear Friend,
President Biden came into office vowing to be the most pro-Equality
candidate the United States has ever seen. This is a sharp contrast to
the anti-LGBTQ actions of the previous administration, and we have a
lot of ground to recover.
So, how is the President doing?
Thus far, GLAAD's News and Rapid Response Team has tracked 24
moves to further equality. These moves include day one actions
like Pres. Biden's executive order directing all federal
agencies to implement the Supreme Court's Bostock decision
protecting LGBTQ employees, to high-level appointments like the
first out transgender appointee, Dr. Rachel Levine.

Now, our team has launched the Biden Equality Accountability Tracker
to monitor, record and continually update steps taken toward full
equality and acceptance. This Tracker is a resource for journalists,
voters and the LGBTQ community to stay informed and aware about
what's being done to advance LGBTQ equality in the U.S. and
around the world.
