Web Foundation

Hi there,

In the year since the WHO declared Covid-19 a pandemic, the web has proved to be a critical lifeline. Today, as the world begins to repair and rebuild, we’re inspired by young people across the globe using the web to help overcome humanity’s great challenges and shape a better future.

But we’re seeing just a fraction of what’s possible. Because far too many people remain on the wrong side of the digital divide and unable to use the web to share their talents and ideas.

That’s why we’re calling for a global push to connect the world’s young people to help build a better future from the Covid-19 crisis.

We’ve spotlighted nine leaders who show what’s possible when young people have the digital tools they need to influence their world. Meet our #WebChampions — and share your own.

Join us to celebrate all those using the web to shape a better world by giving social media shout-outs to the #WebChampions you know. Here’s a tweet template to get started.

It’s time to commit to delivering the web we want for the world we want and invest in the online lives of young people everywhere.

Thank you for supporting our fight for a safe and empowering web for everyone. We look forward to celebrating your #WebChampions.
