I’d like your help doing something special for Governor Kristi Noem. |
Governor Noem has been working so hard on a bill to protect unborn children from abortion due to a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome. |
Both SBA List’s own State Policy Director Sue Liebel and Dr. Tara Sander Lee, senior fellow and director of life sciences at Charlotte Lozier Institute, previously testified in support of the bill. |
As Sue stated, “Down syndrome should never be a death sentence, especially in a society like ours that prides itself on diversity and inclusiveness.” |
Now I hope you’ll join me in thanking Governor Noem as her bill protecting unborn children with Down syndrome reaches her desk. |
Sue and Dr. Lee were also joined by Katie Shaw, a pro-life lobbyist and advocate for anti-discrimination abortion laws. |
Shaw, who has Down syndrome herself, was also instrumental in the passage of a law banning discriminatory abortions in her home state of Indiana, which was signed by then-Governor Mike Pence. |
This bill is so important at a time when individuals with Down syndrome are on the verge of being eliminated in some parts of the world due to discriminatory abortion. |
A Marist/Knights of Columbus poll last month found that 70% of Americans are opposed to legalizing abortion for babies who may have Down syndrome. |
Of course, those 70% of Americans are too often drowned out by the pro-abortion media who believe abortion is a “human right.” |
That’s why I’d love to show Governor Noem just how many Americans are proud of her bold stance against discriminatory abortion. |
