[1]Women's March

John,

This March, Women’s History Month, takes on a whole new level of
importance in 2021.

For the past year in this pandemic, women have faced unprecedented
challenges. Women, especially Black and brown communities, are
experiencing the worst effects of the COVID-19 recession. This pandemic
has forced 3 million women out of the workforce. We’ve been impacted the
most by wage cuts, layoffs, loss of health insurance due to unemployment,
and increasing child care costs.

Yet in the face of all of these challenges, women were the ones leading
relief efforts and organizing to turn the tides of our country. Women
worked together to make masks when Trump refused to rush PPE for health
care workers, women have been the caregivers of our families, and women
mobilized in historic numbers during the election to flip the White House
and the Senate. We’re beyond proud of all of the Women’s Marchers who
volunteered to get out the vote, formed Women2Women circles to help
distribute aid, marched with us in the streets to demand a better future,
attended our organizing trainings to learn how to #DefundthePolice in our
communities, and donated to fund this work.

Your support is the reason why we defeated Trump and why we were able to
mobilize throughout this pandemic. We’re counting on it especially now as
we lead the charge throughout Biden’s administration to demand the
progressive agenda we fought for. That’s why today, we’re asking you to
show your support for our women-led organizing movement not just during
Women’s History Month — but all year round.

our organizing and training programs so we can continue to leverage the
full-power of women to create the future we deserve?

For many organizations like Women’s March, Women’s History Month is a
hugely important time for fundraising.

Often what we raise during this month determines a large portion of our
budget for the next fiscal year. Every dollar you give determines how much
funding we can put into our training programs to combat disinformation
online, our online tools for our Women2Women organizing circles, future
get-out-the-vote programs, webinars, in-person mobilizations, and advocacy
work.

We know that many people are struggling this year – but that’s what makes
our work even more important. People – especially women – are struggling
and it will take a mass movement like ours to demand a fundamental shift
in our government.

Especially as we continue to deal with the crises of COVID-19, mass
unemployment, and the rise of disinformation, it’s critical that our team
has the resources to continue growing this women-led movement and
organizing for transformative policies.

[ [link removed] ]We know that not everyone is in a place to donate. But if you can
afford it,
John, will you commit to
making a monthly donation to Women’s March so we have the sustained
support we need to keep fighting for a feminist future?

Thank you,

Rachel
