Anonymous,

Do you believe in a future beyond plastic? If you're tired of plastic polluting our world, harming our bodies, and jeopardizing our future, you have a chance to be a part of the solution right now.

We don't have a moment to wait. Plastic is already so common in our environment that scientists estimate we consume about a credit card's worth of plastic particles every week.[1] To protect our health, we need to cut back on plastic pollution right now.

Tonight is your deadline to become one of the 75 new monthly supporters we need to keep our work going strong. Don't wait -- monthly gifts are safe, easy and automatic.

Powerful and well-funded opposition has an interest in maintaining the status quo, where our wasteful overuse of plastic items we don't really need continues to threaten our future.

But we're committed to serving the public interest by building a healthier future, where our dependence on the most polluting forms of plastic is a thing of the past.

Thanks to our supporters, we're already building exciting momentum:

* Last year, polystyrene foam wasn't banned anywhere in the U.S. This year, our national network led the charge to win the nation's first state polystyrene bans in Maine, Maryland, and Vermont.
* Our national network has helped triple the number of statewide plastic bag bans across the nation, bringing the total number of states taking this important step up to seven.
* Just this week, thousands of our supporters sent messages to our members of Congress in support of ambitious legislation to curb the plastic waste crisis nationwide.

And we can do even more to move beyond plastic if we all work together. When you give monthly, you provide a steady stream of support that fuels important research, skilled organizing and impactful advocacy.

Start a monthly gift before the deadline tonight to be a part of real change, and support all of our work in the public interest.

Every moment we wait, more unnecessary plastic is produced, used and tossed aside. The best time to confront the plastic pollution crisis is right now.

So don't wait to become a monthly U.S. PIRG supporter, Anonymous. You can be a part of the solution on plastic waste, and support all of our vital work to build safer, healthier and financially secure lives for all Americans.

Don't miss the deadline: Begin your monthly gift before midnight.
