Women's History Month is a chance to recognize how far we've come in our work towards social, economic, and racial equality for all women.

We use this month to honor and celebrate the women who came before us and fought for the right to vote, earn a living, and ensure that women receive the same rights as any man.

While equity for women continues to improve, this did not happen by chance. It happened because women throughout history, including those whose names we recognize and those whose contributions will never be known, came together and organized to fight for equality.

There are countless women leading this fight right now. Cece Gerlach, Johanna Garcia, Lattina Brown, Maya Wiley, and Tishaura Jones are leading on the ground across this nation. They’re also all DFA endorsed candidates running for office on the local level right now.

From reproductive justice to affordable childcare and equal pay for equal work, we have a lot of work to do, and we know that our strategy of building power and supporting candidates in all 50 states and from the ground up is the basis of a more progressive, reflective democracy.
