I’m proud to share that my Democratic colleagues and I have passed the American Rescue Plan in both chambers of Congress to provide Americans with the COVID-19 relief they need! Next, the bill is going to President Biden’s desk to be signed into law.

We have fought long and hard for this — and thank you for fighting alongside us and advocating for your needs as we work to support you in Congress.

Here’s what this bill does to get us out of this period of uncertainty:

• $1,400 direct stimulus payments

• A robust national vaccine program to speed up vaccinations

• An extended eviction moratorium and mortgage assistance

• Expanded unemployment insurance benefits for those out of work

• Funding to support schools safely reopening

• Additional funding for COVID testing, tracing, and mitigation, as well as support for community health centers
